A look back at summer memories of Wrestling In Ontario and across Canada
Part 2
Another sign of summer wrestling in Ontario were the posters in windows or on poles promoting the upcoming events.
The mention of posters in Ontario would conjure up images of The Wildman's innovative and colorful designs but the Tunneys would also
use this medium to highlight their Maple Leaf Gardens cards such as the one above touting the 8th Wonder Of The World Andre The Giant.
For more Tunney and area Posters see Toronto Posters, the Wildman's are at Ontario Posters

Part 1
The best part of summer in Ontario - Wrestling-wise - was the kick-off of the Wildman's tours.
From 1972 to 1987 Dave 'Wildman/Bearman' McKigney would bring his brand of wrestling mayhem to to the smaller
arenas & fairgrounds offering up everything from his wrestling bear to special attraction's like Andre The Giant
The pictures above are previously un-posted photos from The Wildman Collection At MLWP
with the rare 'non-wildman' McKigney watching from the sidelines while recuperating from a leg
injury July 1983 in Cornwall, Ontario
More photos from the same collection with The Sheik vs Johnny Valiant in another bloody battle for ring supremacy Aug 1982
In the second shot long-time Sheik foe Bobo Brazil holds the U.S. champ for Valiant to carve up while the ref of course tries to stop him.
Below Luis 'Ariba' Martinez, one of the most popular stars of McKigney's circuit addressing the crowd in Cornwall June 1982
