Dewey Robertson

Dewey Robertson returned to the area in 1974 and adopted the masked Crusader persona. After being un-masked by The Sheik he would re-team with Billy Red Lyons as "The Crusaders."

They would hold the area's International Tag Titles several times throughout the late 70's and would last team together in 1980 sans the masks and the moniker.

Dewey would have a successful run as Canadian Champion here in the Toronto area beating Ken Patera, Gene Kiniski, and Greg Valentine to claim the title in a one-night tournament in Sept 1979.

During his reign he would earn draws with two world champions (Race & Bockwinkel), and also beat Bockwinkel with the figure-four before relinquishing the top spot to Angelo Mosca (via Hussein The Arab) and departing the area for the final time.
